Terraform Plan Storage (Deprecated)
cloudposse/github-action-terraform-plan-storage is deprecated. Atmos now has built-in planfile storage — atmos terraform plan uploads planfiles directly, and atmos terraform deploy downloads and verifies them, with no separate S3/DynamoDB (or Azure Blob/CosmosDB) storage action to configure.
The Terraform Plan Storage GitHub Action securely stored Terraform plan files in cloud storage (S3 or Azure Blob Storage), with metadata tracked in a document database (DynamoDB or CosmosDB). It was the storage backend used by github-action-atmos-terraform-plan and github-action-atmos-terraform-apply.
Native CI Equivalent
Planfile storage is now a built-in Atmos feature, configured directly in atmos.yaml:
components:
terraform:
planfiles:
verify: fail
atmos terraform plan writes the planfile to storage; atmos terraform deploy downloads and verifies it before applying — no separate action, IAM role, or DynamoDB/CosmosDB table required.
