Inspect Your Toolchain Aliases

Tool aliases can come from built-in defaults or your project's configuration, making it difficult to see which target a short name selects. The toolchain aliases command lists the effective mappings in one place.

The Problem

The documented atmos toolchain aliases command was missing from the CLI. Aliases worked when installing or running tools, but checking their targets meant reading configuration files and accounting for built-in defaults yourself.

The Fix

The command now lists built-in aliases together with aliases from the merged Atmos configuration. Configured aliases take precedence when names overlap. Output is sorted by alias name and shows each target as declared, without resolving it through a tool registry.

How to Use It

List aliases in a table:

atmos toolchain aliases

Use structured output for scripts:

atmos toolchain aliases --format=json
atmos toolchain aliases --format=yaml

The command does not install tools or fetch tool registries. Configure mappings under toolchain.aliases in atmos.yaml.
