# atmos aws cloudformation stackset instances

List a CloudFormation StackSet's stack instances (`ListStackInstances`) —
each instance's account, region, status, and stack ID.

> ⚠️ Experimental

## Usage

```shell
atmos aws cloudformation stackset instances <component> --stack <stack> [options]
```

```shell
atmos aws cloudformation stackset instances vpc -s plat-ue2-dev
```

List instances for all or affected components in dependency order:

```shell
atmos aws cloudformation stackset instances --all -s plat-ue2-dev
atmos aws cloudformation stackset instances --affected --base origin/main
```

## Flags

- **`--stack`, `-s` (required for a single component)**
  Atmos stack. With
  `--all`
  ,
  `--affected`
  ,
  `--tags`
  , or
  `--labels`
  , this is an optional stack filter; omit it to select components across stacks.

## Output

If the StackSet has no instances, `stackset instances` prints a single line
saying so. Otherwise, each line shows the instance's account, region, status,
and stack ID.

`stackset instances` acts directly on the StackSet whose name matches the
component's `stack_name` — it takes no `--target` flag and does not need a
`kind: aws/stackset` provision target declared.

`stackset instances` does not fire `before`/`after` hook events — only
